In an interview with Digital Spy at the San-Diego Comic-Con, Jensen Ackles said that he “had trouble digesting” the end of the story. He said he didn’t take the ending quite well as the others, and it took time for him to get over that. He revealed that he made a few phone calls to get his mind over it and calm himself down.
He said that he was extremely close to the guys he had been working with, and after such a long time, it was hard for him to overcome this sense of ending the whole show. But eventually he fought his feelings, and he is not quite comfortable with the conclusion.
