John Cena, the latest addition to the Fast and Furious’ team, reveals that the upcoming ninth installment will address several unanswered questions. Well, for starters, after seeing the trailer, one of the biggest questions is how Han survived?
In Fast and Furious 6, fans witnessed Deckard Shaw (played by Jason Statham) killing Han. However, to everyone’s surprise, Han is alive, so how he survived and what he has been doing for all this time, and several other questions like these need a proper explanation. Apart from that, Jakob’s history with Dom and the severity of the underlying issue that motivated Jakob to kill Dom needs to be explored.
Fast and Furious 9: John Cena teases exciting details
During ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,’ John revealed that the movie would ‘kill it’ in terms of action. In Fast and Furious 9, fans ‘are going to see it weave that legacy together.’ The over-the-top action blended with the dynamic storyline will keep them on the edge of their seat. He further added that fans who love the franchise would get their questions answered in FF9.
Fast and Furious 9 embarks a new chapter in Dom and his family’s life. However, things will get turbulent when Jakob (John Cena), Dom, and Mia’s brother enter their lives. Jakob is after Dom and seeking revenge for some ‘unknown reason’ as of now, and not surprisingly, Cipher is aiding him. With the addition of a new antagonist, Dom has found a new villain, and given the fact that the former baddie is an ally of Jakob, Dom and the gang has to act quickly to survive.
Fast and Furious 9 update, Cast, and Updates
The majority of the actors will return for the upcoming ninth installment. That includes Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, and Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges. Fans will see them as Dom, Letty, Roman, and Tej. Also, fan-favorite Jordana Brewster will return as Mia. However, the absence of Paul Walker as Brian will be another crucial point to explore.
According to rumors, Cody might be eying a possible return as Brian, but take it with a pinch of salt until confirmation. Nathalie Emmanuel (Ramsey) and Lucas Black from Tokyo Drift will return as Sean Boswell. We have the newest antagonist John Cena as Jakob, and accompanying him is Charlize Theron (Cipher).

Fast and Furious 9 was initially slated for release in 2020, but due to the ongoing pandemic, the franchise pushed it to 2021. According to the official statement, Fast and Furious 9 will arrive at the theatres on 2nd April 2021 in the US and UK.
Regarding the upcoming sequels, Vin Diesel teased that the tenth movie is about ‘fulfilling’ a promise to Paul Walker. ‘For the fans, should Fast 10 parts one and two be the conclusion, it would be nice for this world to continue for generations to come,’ he revealed.
