Cube world has made a comeback story which none of us expected. After it got silent for over five years people were sure that this Minecraft-inspired RPG was only a dream. But all of that was proved wrong earlier this month when the developer Wolfram von Funck shocked everyone by announcing that Cube World was indeed coming out, and now we know just how soon.
Cube World update Revealed
Moreover, the developer told the reason behind the silence he said “As some of you might remember, we got DDoS’ed as soon as we opened the shop,” von Funck explains. “It might sound silly, but this event traumatized me and kind of broke something inside me. I never told anyone about it, and I don’t want to go into the details, but I’m dealing with anxiety and depression ever since. Social media didn’t improve it, as you might imagine. I’m still not sure if it’s a good idea to tell the world about it, but I wanted to give the fans an explanation.”
This game will be releasing on 30th September of this year. Its price hasn’t been listed but those people who have purchased the game all the way back in 2013 will automatically get a Steam key for the full release. The Alpha buyers can play the beta which released on 23 September, a full week ahead of Cube World’s full launch.
If you don’t know what Cube World is, well there is a trailer of the game which does a great job of showing you what it’s all about. At a first look, it looks like a Minecraft clone but it much more like an action RPG set in a procedural voxel universe and has four classes to choose from. But there is some Minecraft stuff too in this like crafting and animal taming which intrigue me to see how the game would be like.
