For over a decade, there have been many excellent T.V. series released by DC comics starting from Arrow, Gotham, The Flash, Doom patrol, Supergirl, Titans, and many others. The Batwoman T.V. series was one of the recent series that were released by DC Comics Universe and Warner Bros. Television, and it is based on one of the characters of DC comics Batwoman is also a crime-fighting vigilante. After the sudden disappearance of Batman from Gotham city, Ruby Rose, as Kate Kane, aka Batwoman, becomes the new crime-fighting vigilante of Gotham to continue the legacy of her cousin Bruce Wayne.

In the first season of its release on October 8th, 2019, and comic heads have well-received it over the past years, and considering the overall success of the series, it has been renewed for season 2 by The C.W. network and will be making its return on T.V. soon.

A comic history of Batwoman aka Kate Kane:

Daughter of prominent Cornell Jake Kane and her wife Gabrielle, who is also a military captain, both Kate, and her twin sister Beth had a tough childhood as both of their parents were involved in defense security and intelligence board, and both of them had to travel often because of the promotions they received during their tenure.

One day, when they were transferred in Brussels, Belgium, Gabrielle decided to take both of her daughters out for their 12th birthday celebration, they were assaulted and were taken as hostages by terrorists. However, the military forces were able to trace the location where they were kept, but, they were only able to save Kate, while her mother and her twin sister were killed by the terrorists

Kate’s father, Jacob, did the best that he could do to prevent her daughter from seeing her dead mother and sister’s corpses. However, still, Kate grieved her mother and Becca’s death. Still, later on, she emulated from her grief and excelled in her studies, and got accepted in West Point as cadet, after which, she continued her journey after that, earned the rank of Brigade Executive Officer at the same time completing both Air Assault School and U.S. Army Airborne School and got honored by Rendo badge and many other awards.

But in the final year of her academy, she got accused of homosexual conduct. However, given a chance to stay in the academy by accepting a demotion, she refused to stay in the academy left the academy in her final year.

Becoming Batwoman according to Comics:

One night she was attacked by a mob just beside a bar. However, she fought off the man, and the moment she was about the harm him fatally, Batman intervened, and seeing him individualistically for the first time, she felt alive as if she finally found a true purpose in her life. She felt like she could also help people by becoming a vigilante, so she decided to fight crime, which she successfully continued for one year straight, after which her father got to know about the whole situation. Although he was angry at first, his paternal instinct made him understand her, and he decided to support her. The father-daughter duo began their rigorous training on combat assault, which continued for a whole three years, which made her strong to don the suit of Batwoman.

The story so far in Batwoman Season 1:

The T.V. adaptation of DC Comics’ Batwoman kicked things off after the sudden disappearance of Bruce Wayne, aka Batman from Gotham City. The Gotham police departments were in distress as there was no law and order maintained. This continued for some time until the arrival of the city’s next vigilante, Batwoman aka Kate Kane who arrived in the scene along with her father Jacob, Kate decides to become The Dark knight of Gotham to continue the legacy of her cousin Bruce Wayne, she uses every bags and trick to fight against criminals to bring law and order back in the city.

As there are no such updates about the cast for season 2 but in season 2 you will get see some familiar faces of the season 1, the episodes and trailer release details have not been confirmed yet but the second season of the show is likely to be returned on October 4th, 2020 as of reports by C.W. channel
