For this movie, Nagarjuna studied sword combat with the katana and Krav Maga. A customary pooja ceremony was held in Secunderabad to officially introduce the movie in February 2021. On August 29, 2021, Nagarjuna’s birthday, the movie’s title—The Ghost—was revealed via a first-look poster. The character of a billionaire who is Nagarjuna’s sister is played by Gul Panag. Panag makes her Telugu cinematic debut with this movie.
The Ghost Review
Nagarjuna is one of the extremely few actors who are willing to play a variety of roles. In his career, he has demonstrated this several times. With The Ghost, the actor has once more demonstrated his patience. His depiction of Vikram is one of the movie’s strongest points, and the seasoned actor carried the picture from start to finish.
One of the finest action sequences in recent memory was created for this movie, and it is absolutely worth mentioning. They exude style and make us experience goosebumps. Bravo to Nagarjuna as well for pulling off such dangerous acts so convincingly. The film contains many amazing action scenes that keep us glued to the screens.
Sonal Chauhan’s character is well-rounded and goes beyond just the gorgeous side. The action scene shows her efforts, and the actor did a good job and left an impression. The remaining cast members, including Srikanth Iyengar, Gul Panag, Ravi Varma, and Anika Surendran, performed admirably.
It lacks emotional resonance
While the action portion of the movie is just so spectacular, the drama and plot aren’t that terrific, which lessens the astounding effect of the bouts. We struggle to feel a strong connection to the film since the emotional part feels forced and artificial. The plot becomes predictable after a certain point in the last hour, and the writing does not improve to keep the action entertaining after that. There are some odd moments in between, but their placement doesn’t add much.
The soundtrack by Mark K. Robin is excellent, while the songs by Bharat-Saurabh are just passably musical. Some action blocks’ BGMs are interesting and useful. Outstanding cinematography was created by Mukesh G. Only a few shots are modeled after Hollywood movies, and his work gave this action thriller a tonne of depth.
Overall, The Ghost is a mediocre action thriller. Its highlight is Nagarjuna’s exhilarating performance, which is supported by some top-notch action scenes. On the other hand, its weak antagonist, formulaic plot, and lack of appropriate emotional passages make it a watchable film this weekend. If you love watching action movies, give this one a go, but keep your expectations in check.
