Vikings is a show that’s been praised for its display of a bloody story, and at the same time, criticized for its historical inaccuracies. The show has somewhat simply followed the stereotypes regarding the Vikings and paid little attention to it in reality.
However, that still doesn’t make all that much of a difference because fans have loved the show since day one, and right now, everyone follows wants to know when Vikings will return with the sixth season, and that’s exactly what we’ll be talking about in this post.
Before we begin, I want to let you all know that this post contains a lot of spoilers from the previous Vikings series. If you don’t want to get spoiled, I suggest you stop reading the post here. However, if spoilers don’t bother you, we can get started.
Back in 2017, History Channel renewed the Vikings for the sixth season that is set to have a total of 20 episodes. Vikings Season 5 finale is in January, yet fans are already looking forward to the sixth season because they want to know where the story will go to on from here. For now, we know that Vikings Season 6 isn’t all that far away.
In fact, it is expected to premiere in 2019. According to Deadline, production for the sixth season of the show began in fall of 2017 and ended in late 2018, which is a very long production period. If the show will follow the patterns of the previous seasons, then we’ll get Vikings Season 6 Part 1 in November 2019, followed by Vikings Season 6 Part 2 in November 2020. Deadline also reported that Vikings Season 6 is going to be the last. So, fans should be ready for the end to the series.
A spin-off for Vikings is said to be planned, but we have little to no news on that.
