Cadillac is about to finish its lineup and their new 2020 CT5 sedan which is the company’s ace in the hole. This is a sports sedan which uses the same rear-wheel drive Alpha architecture as the outgoing ATS and CTS, the CT5. Under the hood is a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four which produces 237 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. There is also an optional choose which is a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 this produces 335 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. This Sedan will come in three different trims levels.
• Luxury
• Premium Luxury
• Sport
The former two are similar, and they have plenty of chrome exterior trims. On the other hand, Sport will have different front and rear fascias and darker trim pieces as well standard 19-inch wheels and upgraded Brembo brakes. The company got a lot of bad feedback because of the infotainment front. They listened to their community and improved the control setup. Now, it has the standard 10-inch central display and a control knob on the center console.
These volume and tuning knobs are mounted just below the screen itself and also there is an addition which is the voice commands and steering-wheel controls. Cadillac says models so equipped won’t arrive until the calendar year 2020 but Super Cruise–less CT5 models will appear at dealerships before that and the orders will open in fall 2019. The company also says that the price of this car will be pricing somewhere near that of the German triumvirate of sports sedans which should be around $40,000 and go up into the $60,000.
