Knightfall has been wondering whether this is it for the show. Many rumors said that Knightfall TV show had been canceled. At the same time, many fans noted that the renewal for the third season canceled Channel is on the cards. Knightfall is a History Channel drama that tells the tale of Knights Templar. Knightfall, the series tries and explores the clandestine world of warrior monks.

Amid the downfall of the Templar Order, Season two explores the themes of power, redemption, revenge, betrayal, family, and, and of course, what can happen without an epic showdown between church and state.

Knightfall Still

The thing is, Season 1 of Knightfall was great but Season 2 didn’t perform all that good. It averaged around 0.12 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 652,000 viewers. If we compare that to Season one, that’s down by 49% and 47%, respectively. Sure, the ratings look down if not bad. But given the fact that History TV has only a handful of scripted series, God knows on what basis the renewal will be done.

For Season 2, Mark Hamill joined the case alongside Tom Cullen, Pádraic Delaney, Ed Stoppard, Simon Merrells, Julian Ovenden, and Jim Carter returning. The other cast of the show for the second season also included Genevieve Gaunt, Tom Forbes, and Clementine Nicholson.

Right now, it’s difficult to tell what numbers History TV consider to be assuring enough for a renewal. Knightfall becomes History’s lowest-rated scripted series so far. It’s a waiting game for now.

  1. Knightfall did not get proper advertising . I only saw one short interview. That’s it! You look at how everyone heard about Vikings. What didn’t you do???Acting was great. Interest was there, but when was it advertised. Think about what you can do to bring it out! It’s got all the right stuff for interest. The ball is in advertisers court!
