Keiichi and Mr. Kuraudo are still investigating what has happened to Jirou and the unknown lady after the Himinazawa festival. The next day Keiichi went to school and Rika want to talk with him in private. Rika asks Keiichi if he is worried about something and Keiichi remembers Rena since he suspects her about the incident that took place after the festival. He then asks why is she asking him and she replies that he can tell her since she has noticed everything.
Keiichi reveals that sometimes Rena is scary. Rika thinks that Keiichi is just making a mountain out of a molehill. After talking with Rika Keiichi things that she is right. He must not doubt his own friends after school Keiichi went home he couldn’t find his mother and father. He keeps thinking about the murder that took place at Hinamizawa Dam Construction Site. He then concludes that it is true that Rena knows nothing about the murder.

Previously on Higurashi: When They Cry – Gou Episode 4
Later at night, Keiichi’s mom calls him telling him that they are in Tokyo running some work stuff. They told him that Rena will be bringing dinner for him soon then Keiichi hears a doorbell. Keiichi opens the door for her and hugs her since he keeps on doubting and imagining bad things about her. Keiichi is happy that she has brought more food for them to share. While she is in the kitchen Keichi tries to apologize for not trusting her. Rena reveals that she has to protect her family and she will kill him and disappear.
The Oyashiro will curse this year. Keiichi asked her what she is talking about and she took a knife telling him that when she finished killing her she will be demoned away and disappear. She reveals that her dad will be able to live in peace and she is already under the Oyashiro curse. She then moves towards Keiichi and he took a golf stick telling her to stay away. They both started fighting but Keiichi is just blocking the knife with a golf stick.
Due to the strength of the curse, she managed to take away the golf stick and cuts Keichi’s face. She manages to pins Keichi to the floor and started stabbing his chest. Keichi attacks back and they exchange blow while blood is spraying all over the house. After a bloody battle, they both went unconscious and Keisci wakes up in front of her parents and policeman Kuraudo.
Keiichi reveals that he remembers everything that has happened and he asks if he killed Rena. His father told him to forget about it Keichi shed tears and Kuradou said he will visit soon. After a few days, his friend visits him and he now knows that Rena couldn’t be saved. The doctors manage to save only him and Mion reveals that Reka and Satoka are dead. They are killed with the same knife that Rena was using to kill Keiichi who survived.
