Plot
The series follows the story of a police detective named John Cardinal and his partner Lise Delmore who investigates crimes and hunts criminals in the imaginary city of Algonquin Bay.
Season 1: Forty Words of Sorrow
The first season the story was based on a novel named “Forty Words Of Sorrow,” which was based on a Murder of a girl. The story of the show starts as John Cardinal was removed from his police department as he had become obsessed with finding the missing girl. Soon when the body of the girl was found, he was reassigned to the task force with a new partner named Lise Delmore. He had no idea at that point that Delmore was assigned only to keep a close watch om, John, as police were suspecting him for the murder. However, the police investigation again came down to a halt as A new missing person case came up with a similar pattern as the case of Native Canadian Girl missing case which leads cardinal to believe that the killer is active in the area and he must go to Everything to put him behind bars.
Season 2: Blackfly Season
The second season was based on the Suffering of a young woman from amnesia after she was shot in the head. Soon slashed bodies are discovered under some obscure rituals. The bodies were of a local bike gang known for drug trafficking. As a result, John and his team suspect that someone in the area is trying to replace the gang in the drug trade.
Season 3: By the Time You Read This
Season 3 follows the suspicious story death of Cardinal’s wife and double murders, which were done in Algonquin Bay. Unwilling to believe that his wife committed suicide Cardinal begins the investigation. As he does that, he also receives a succession of letters blaming him for the death of his wife.
Season 4: Until The Night
The Murderer returns to Algonquin Bay, and this time the murder patterns are complex than ever. Season 4 was released recently on April 6th, 2020.
