The first three-row Cadillac crossover is finally here. With this move, it has stepped into the luxury SUV terrain.
The XT6 comes with a smaller and lighter tank, because of its sedan-like chassis. That means it is more maneuverable than other Cadillac cars in terms of the land-yacht proportions. Upon a cursory look at the XT6, it looks the same size as that of Audi Q7. So if you have to make a comparison, you can make with the same. Audio Q7 and XT6 are primary competitors of each other. But the Cadillac has third-row seat, you can reach the third row with the help of the second-row seats if you just slide and tilt forward.
The XT6’s luggage space is no longer there, that means that you have more room. The luggage space is placed very low, at about 12.6 cubic feet, all the seats are up. When you folding both rear rows, you get access to the large 78.7 cubic feet of space. This is very ideal for times when you want to load it to the roof.
As regards the safety features, the XT6 has all the active safety features that are placed in every modern vehicle, such as an 8-inch touchscreen display, two USB jacks, each for a row. The other options are a Wi-Fi hotspot, Apple Carla, and Android Auto, plus a wireless device charging.
The Cadillac is a powerful vehicle, the horsepower being 310 on the V6 engine. So, in terms of power, it is a little above the competitors. and should be enough to hustle the larger XT6. The XT6 tows almost about 4,000 pounds, which is less than what the other luxury rivals are able to pull, approx 7,000 pounds.
All in all, the XT6 looks like a decent option when it comes to a three-row luxury crossover. The other popular SUV models in this category are the Q7, Acura MD, and Volvo XC90. The Cadillac XT6 is priced at around $52,695 – $57,095.
