He works as a miner in Hokkaido in order to take care of the wife of his dead comrade. He heard about a doubtful story about a hidden trove of Ainu gold, the location of which is hidden in the tattoos of a group of convicts who escaped from Abashiri Prison.
After a few times, he finds out that the story is true and that multiple other groups want that gold. Saichi comes up with a plan to search for gold with the help of Asirpa who is a young Ainu girl. Golden Kamuy Season 3 Episode 1 Summary
While Asirpa and Sugimoto are on their mission they got separated and lost after the battle at the prison. Sugimoto wants to be reunited with Asirpa and a new battle for survival begins in the frozen land of Karafuto. Kiroranke and Ogata take Asirpa north to Karafuto, along with Shiraishi. Shiraishi is the escape King, they are following some of the clues about Asirpa’s father.
Nopperabo stole the Ainu gold is dead and only his daughter Asirpa can solve the mystery. Kiroranke’s goal is to take her to meet his former comrades. They are in Far-East Russian partisans meanwhile, Sugimoto teams up with Lt. Tsurumi and the rest of the 7th. Sugimoto and Tanigaki volunteer to go ahead to search for Asirpa.
They traveled to Karafuto, along with Tsukishima and Koito. Another battle is waiting for them in the frozen lands of the North. They have to fight for survival. While Asirpa is on her mission.
