Pokemon Sword and Shield have introduced some new Gen 8 Pokemon to the series like the previous games. Some pokemon like Applin and Milcery can only evolve through selected methods. However, players can use Eevee to evolve old Pokemons, which can be caught on Route 4 outside Turf field.
Earlier, we could only get Pokemons like Glaceon and Leafeon by traveling to some particular locations and improving the Eevee level, but after the release of Swords and Shields, the process has become very simple to evolve using elemental stones. Apart from this, there are several other ways to obtain Eevee evolution in Pokemon Sword and Shield.
For evolving Eevee, we had traveled to locations such as Ice or Moss Rock and leveling up the pokemon, but now the Rocks don’t appear in the game, and it has been changed drastically. We can use Ice stones to evolve Eevee into Glaceon or Leafeon. Again, there are other ways to do evolution like we used to do in the past games. For example, if we want to evolve Eevee into Sylveon, we have to play with it more often to grow its affection towards us.
Some more evolutions and the ways
Other Eevee evolution methods include, into Vaporeon using Water Stone, into Jolteon using Thunder Stone, into Flareon using Fire Stone, into Espeon by leveling up during day when friendship is high, into Umbreon by leveling at night when friendship is high, into Glaceon using Ice Stones, Leafeon using Leaf Stone and Sylveon by leveling up when affection is high. We can also capture evolved Eevee in Wild Areas like the Lake of Outrage. The weather also affects the kind of Eevee we can get like in Rain. We can get Vaporeon, Jolteon in Thunderstorm, Leafeon in clear weather, Espeon in cloudy weather, Sylveon in fog and so on.
