The Umbrella Academy Season 2: Actors Unsure Of What Will Happen To The Series

A lot of Netflix viewers enjoyed the first season of The Umbrella Academy. One reason why people like the show is because of the diverse characteristics of the characters and how the actors portrayed it perfectly. In addition, there is a lot of potential for another season because of the cliffhanger ending that was given for the first. However, even the stars still don’t know what Netflix plans on the very popular title.

During the MCM Comic Con on Birmingham yesterday, Tom Hopper (who plays Luther Hargreeves) and Emmy Raver-Lampman (who plays Allison Hargreeves) revealed that even the casts are not aware of what will happen to the series. It seems like The Umbrella Academy Season 2 are still not renewed despite the popularity of the Netflix series.

When asked if there’s already a season 2 confirmed, Raver-Lampman answered: “I wish!” She also told the interviewers to “Call up Netflix”. Co-actor Aidan Gallagher also addressed this earlier this year. He cleared a rumor regarding the confirmation of the second season and promised that he will update the fans if there’s something up.

Pressure for doing a season 2 that can pass the impact of the first season is understandable. The performance of the first season already set a high bar of expectations for the next season. It is reasonable that Netflix will not announce anything before they can come up with a story that will wow the fans more than the season one did. The series has a high potential, and nobody wants it ruined.

In addition, even the actors cannot believe how the series is warmly received by the viewers. Hopper revealed that he receives a lot of online chat and calls telling him that “watched the show man, it’s great.” He revealed that he didn’t realize how big the series went until he saw the fanbase in the Comic-Con firsthand.
