Review
Another is a very underrated anime. The story probably won’t make you jump off your seat obviously, but with all the gruesome events happening, even you, the watcher, won’t ever leave the premise of the story unscathed! Let’s know the plot of it in a nutshell.
The story revolves around Yomiyama North Middle School’s cursed class 3-3. In 1972, a trendy honor student named Misaki died partway through the school year. The rest of the students, devastated by the unexpected loss, decided to carry on as if their classmates were still alive. They were going so far as to keep the desk in place and bring it to the graduation ceremony. Yet their classmate, already dead and buried, was unexpectedly validated by the appearance of his ghost in their class photo.
Since then, Class 3 has been visited by “Another.” The identity of the “Another” is unknown to the students but is who died in the past disasters and had come back from the dead to join Class 3. The curse wipes the death from their memory, making anyone a potential ghost. The presence of the spirit leads the members of the class to be “close to death,” making it so any death that could happen most likely will ( Yeah, that’s it, I’m not going to tell the entire story).
We might not find the storyline much alluring but trust me, the way they’ve picturized everything will give you the vibe of creepiness. Plot twists are layered beautifully well, and the only reaction you’re left with is WOAH! WHAT DID HAPPEN? Once you’re into it, there’s no going back.
