Dinosaurs gained a huge fan following when Steven Spielberg made Jurassic Park in 1993 featuring these real-life extinct creatures from Jurassic times on-screen for the first time. Michael Crichton’s novel of the same name was the inspiration for this movie. With its ending film Jurassic World Dominion, the last one in the trilogy, dinosaurs are once again the sensation.
The Jurassic Park trilogy was followed by another trilogy named Jurassic World, whose first film was released in 2015. It is the highest-grossing film in this franchise, the third highest-grossing film of all time, and the second-highest-grossing film of 2015. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) and Jurassic World Dominion (2022) were its sequels. In this article, we will explain the ending of Jurassic World and explore some facts.

Jurassic World is an American sci-fi, the fourth one in the Jurassic Park franchise and the first one in the Jurassic World trilogy. Colin Trevorrow directed this film, written by the married couple, Jaffa and Silver. Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley were its producers.
The Star Cast
Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) is a Navy veteran who expertises in Velociraptor and handles Jurassic World. Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) manages it with two assistants, Zara (Katie McGrath) and Barry Sembène (Omar Sy). Zach (Nick Robinson) and Gray Mitchell (Ty Simpkins) are her nephews.
Simon Masrani (Late Irrfan Khan) is the owner of Jurassic World. Vincent Vic Hoskins (D’Onofrio) is the head of InGen’s security operations. Other characters in the movie are BD Wong (geneticist Dr. Henry Wu), Vivian (Lauren Lapkus), Karen (Judy Greer), and Scott Mitchell ( Andy Buckley) as Zach and Gray’s parents.
The Plot
Jurassic World is a theme park on Isla Nublar. Claire’s nephews, Zach and Gray, visit this park and meet Owen, the trainer of four Velociraptors named Blue, Delta, Echo, and Charlie. Based on these observations, InGen’s head Vic Hoskins devises an evil plan to develop a weaponized army of transgenic dinosaurs.
Meanwhile, Simon Masrani and manager Claire inspect Jurassic Park when its latest attraction, Indominus rex, escapes its enclosure. It creates chaos, killing half of the staff, including assistant Zara. After some furious battles, in the end, the survivors are evacuated, abandoning the island again.
Jurassic World Ending Explained
This time Jurassic world revolves around a new variant in the Dinosaurian world, the Indominus. It is a dinosaur under research that escapes its enclosure and creates chaos. However, Dr. Henry Wu’s creation, Indominus becomes a crucial investment for Simon Masrani. He is the CEO of Masrani Corporation and the owner of Jurassic Park.
Owen realizes Indominus to be a potential threat. He suggests that Masrani kill it but he ignores it. Consequently, Indominus preys on people around him who could have else be saved. However, this highly vicious and intelligent Indominus can camouflage itself and mask its heat signature, thus attacking suddenly.
In the meantime, Masrani chases Indominus in his helicopter with two troopers, but pterosaurs crash his helicopter and kill its passengers. Also, Mosasaurus enters the resort and consumes Zara. Meanwhile, Hopkins seeks Owen’s raptors help to locate Indominus. Upon discovering Indominus, the dinos start an inter-communication. Thus, Owen realizes that Indominus has the same DNA as his Velociraptors.
Owen’s dinos change to Indominus’s squad and kill the troops. Charlie dies in this fight. Again, Hoskins attempts to evacuate Dr. Wu and dinosaur embryos, but Delta kills him. Also, Owen succeeds in regaining his bond with the remaining raptors. They attack Indominus, during which Delta and Echo die.
Towards the end, Claire releases Jurassic Park’s veteran Tyrannosaurus rex to battle with Indominus. Along with Blue, Rex overpowers the Indominus cornering it to the lagoon. Tyrannosaurus rex takes Indominus underwater and continues the fight. Everyone evacuates the island. The T-Rex roars in Jurassic World. Zach and Gray reunite with their parents and Owen and Claire decide to stay together.
Eventually, the people who lost their lives in the battle include Zara, Claire’s personal assistant, the three of Owen’s four raptors (Charlie, Delta, and Echo), Masrani, InGen’s head, Vic Hoskins, etc.
