From the trailer, it’s evident that season 2 will pick up the story from where it left off in the first installment, and it will continue to explore the warrior, The Mandalorian, as he sets out to find the origins and kind of baby Yoda. His quest will be full of challenges, and according to the executive producer Dave Filoni, “everything gets bigger” in season 2. He added that despite the stakes being high, the personal story between baby Yoda and Mando would develop in a way that the fans will enjoy to their fullest.

Speaking on season 2 to Entertainment Weekly, Esposito teased that season 2 make the fans change their perception towards Gideon. According to him, he might not be a complete baddie that you might think him to be, and in season 2, he will lock horns with Mando, a battle that he hopes to be very ‘iconic.’

He added that his overall image of being the villain is kind of flawed, as he is only trying to harness ‘some energy and power’ for a path that could benefit all. in season 2, Gideon will appear ‘somewhat diplomatic and more of a manipulator.’ We have covered a sperate article based on this very topic, and you can check that out as well.
