Back to the present the match still continues Tadashi is showing his best performance. He scores another one making it 23:22 which makes Kurasuno lead again. Ryu’s mind is somewhere he misses a powerful cannon coming from Atsumi and the game becomes tied. Kurasuno fires back by making a blackout. Tobio is the one who set 3 to cause a blackout everyone jumps up with happiness. Kurasuno manages to get the set point first and Atsumi notice that Kurasuno wants to seal the deal with the next point.
Ryu got shut out by Suna Rinataro who is the middle blocker. Inarizaki manages to make it 24:24 and Atsumi remembers what his coach told them about #5 Ryu who hasn’t made any great plays. He thinks that he will attack him since it looks like it is Kurasuno’s weaker side. Atsumi looks straight at Ryu who is ready thinking that he is going to attack at him. Ryu said to himself that it is not something new for everyone to aim at him. Atsumi fires and Ryu got saved by #4 who has noticed that he was going to miss.
Atsumi is shocked to see his shot blocked back to their court. Ryu tries to gain his confidence by being part of the game later Ryu realizes that Shimuzi is watching. He works with Hinata and makes a nice block and Ryu got his confidence back. Hinata and Ryu held the team-high and make it 27:25 with Kurasuno leading. Ryu smiles looking at the stand where Shimuzi is and the won the first set. Shimizu is so proud of Ryu’s performance and she has noticed that he is honest.
