The discount supermarket Aldi last night after it announced it’s Christmas advertisement sent its social media users into a wild frenzy. Aldi came out with a trailer for the Christmas advertisement, which teased the return of the most famous character, Kevin the Carrot on Facebook.
The carrot is the store mascot, the star of the store’s festive campaign for four years now. Just yesterday afternoon, we saw a teaser trailer for The Return Of Kevin The Carrot on Facebook. Next, you see Russel Sprout and the Leafy Blinders in unison, warn they’re ‘here to take back Christmas’.
The most exciting part, however, was when social media users were more than happy to catch a glimpse of Kevin the Carrot on a newspaper page left on the cobbles at their feet. Next, you see the Blinders’ Brussels sprouts tease their 2019 Christmas advert. For four years now, Vegetable has been the star of the discount store’s festive campaign.
This year, we will see a slight change, as the legacy will be overtaken by Russel Sprout and Leafy Blinders. The 10-second viral video had all the social media users shook.
We also saw in the 10-second teaser trailer how the Leafy Blinders gang, with a group of Brussels sprouts who wore tweed caps (just like the characters in Peaky Blinders), make the announcement. The supermarket while posting the 10-second clip on Facebook and asked fans who they were rooting for.
