Queen Sugar has proved to be a rather successful series for the OWN network. The drama has been directed by Ava Duvernay and Oprah Winfrey, and it is based on the book by Natalie Baszile. The show has shown that it can be stable and at the same be very popular with the audience. These two things reasons have proved to be crucial in the long run for the show.

Queen Sugar has managed to run successfully for three and a fourth season of the show is already in works. The show was renewed for a fourth season before the finale of the third season. We had to wait for some time before we got the news about theof the new season. But, we finally got our hands on theof the show. The fourth season of Queen Sugar is going be released on June 12, 2019. So, the show is following its trend of releasing new seasons in summer.

One of the big changes in the new season of Queen Sugar will be the promotion of Anthony Sparks to showrunner and executive producer in the fourth season. Sparks has also worked on shows such as Blacklist, Undercovers, Lincoln Heights, and The District. Sparks takes over the role over from Kat Candler.
