Busted! Season 2: Here’s What We Know About The Korean Drama

Busted! the Korean drama comes from South Korea. It is a web drama series that aired Season 1 on Netflix. It stars Yoo Jae-suk, Ahn Jae-Wook, Kim Jong-min, Lee Kwang-soo, Park Min-young, Oh Se-hun, and Kim Se-Jeong, in the lead roles. For season 1, the show had ten episodes, and it premiered with two episodes last year, on May 4, 2018.

So that you know, Busted! is a Netflix Originals, that is co-produced with SangSang, a Korean production company. This is the production house responsible for X-Man, Running Man, and Family Outing. The show is important because it is Netflix’s first original program to have an all-Korean cast. The chief purpose for the creation of Busted! for Netflix according to producer Cho Hyo-jin was to create a hit show for South Korea, which then could be “consumed on the global stage.”

Not much has been made about the future of Busted! since Netflix renewed it on May 30, 2018. Netflix that announced that Busted published a press release! was renewed for a second season. The premise of the show deals with Seven celebrity sleuths who discover that they are a part of an operation called Project D. Each of them have an implanted chip containing the DNA of famous detectives throughout history. This program is led by a man only known as “K” (played by Ahn Nae-sang). The seven sleuthhounds are recruited as private detectives, and they are assigned with a new case in each episode. The parallel plot is figuring out the mystery behind Project D and how it came into being.

With regards to updates on Season 2, it was announced on September 6, 2018, that the original cast would return for the second season. Lee Kwang-soo will be conspicuous by his absence due to scheduling conflicts. In November 2018, producer Jang Hyuk-Jae announced that Lee Seung-gi would join the cast.
