In an interview, President of Programming of HBO, Casey Bloys said that it a ‘bittersweet,’ decision to bring the fan-favorite series to an end with Season 7 being the final one. He further added that they love the show and the team with all their heart but, also respect the decision of the producer to bring the journey of Selina Meyer to its conclusion.
Louis-Dreyfus said that he is happy with what happened and how the series will end and assured that fans would love it as well. It has been little tough for them especially with the drop in viewership in the previous season, however, the team will be concluding the series on a positive end. It has also been confirmed that the upcoming season will be a bit different and the team will be exploring some new ideas.
