Season 7 of the hit Australian TV show will begin from the cliffhanger of Season 6, we have been told. The cliffhanger will be resolved and then only will Season 7 progress ahead. We’ll see a total of 12 episodes in Season 7 of Wentworth, just like we saw in the previous seasons of the prison drama. Season 7, if you may recall, was given a green signal by Foxtel in April of the last year. Additionally, Season 8 was also confirmed. Both Netflix and Foxtel haven’t made much on details of Season 7, but we do know a few things here and there. So let’s dive right into it, shall we?

Now, Season 8 is supported by Film Victoria and supposed to into full action in 2020. The plot for season seven will build up where Season 6 ended as a cliffhanger and will transform into a whole storyline from there on. Our other sources tell us that Season 8 is not going to have the same number of 12 episodes like Season 7 and the previous seasons did. Season 1, on the other hand, had ten episodes.

As for theof Season 7, we do not have any confirmed reports on it. Some say it is going to be out in September on Netflix, some say a little earlier, in June on Foxtel. Nothing is confirmed as of now. The eighth season of Wentworth that has been renewed for 20 episodes was confirmed by Foxtel’s Executive Director.

Wentworth stands somewhere in between Prison Break, and Orange Is The New Black. It is lead by the creative namely, Jo Porter and Pino Amenta. Marcia Gardiner is the head writer responsible for the brilliant scripts of Wentworth.

Wentworth Season 7 will premiere in Australia on May 28, 2019. That’s way earlier than we expected the show to return, and if the show is going to air in Australia this early, chances are that we will actually get the next season of the show on Netflix in 2019 as well.

Netflix usually adds the show once the finale is aired, and it definitely won’t last all the way to 2020. The show is bound to end in Summer 2019, or by Fall. If that’s the case, we can see Wentworth being available on Netflix US by Fall 2019.
