Dark Lord Hadler send Crocodine on a mission to take down Dai and looking at Dai Croicodine said that he is a little brat. He adds that he holds the title of Beast King he cannot fight the child. Hadler reveals that Dai possesses unbelievable power and he even wounded him. He must be killed before he becomes the real threat and Crocodine said he is interested. Later Crocodine met with Dai in the forest and they clash, Best King overpowers Dai and puts him to the ground.
Maam shoots Dai with a magic spell to power him up. Dai is about to wake up with new powers. Popp asks Maam why did she shot Dai and he told her to calm down and look at what is happening. Dai wakes up and said he can move Crocodine attacks and he jumps away. Maam reveals that she shot him with Tingle a spell that cures paralysis and numbness. She said that she did that to help him since he couldn’t move after receiving the beating from Crocodine. Maam asks Popp to cast the Crack spell on the stone bullet and she fires it when Crocodine attacks Dai.

Previously on Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai Episode 7
Crocdine yells die to Dai while landing a final blow and his hand got frozen from the Crack stone bullet coming from Maam. Dai jumps up landing a powerful blow and Crocodine notice that the sun has set. Dai manages to cut Crocdine’s face who complains that how dare he scar his face and he has ruined his pride. Crocodine swears that he will kill Dai and then sink inside the ground. While Crocodine has disappeared Maam uses her magic and heal Dai’s wound.
She reveals that the Magic Bullet Gun was a gift from Master Avan. You load spells into the Magic Bullets and fire them and Popp realizes that it shoots attacks and heal spells. Dai is glad that Maam was Avan’s student and her power explains it. Meanwhile, at the island Brass is looking up ta the dark clouds. He said that he hopes that Dai is safe and all of sudden he sensed a terrible presence. He then hears the voice of Dark Army echoing around the island and he said that island is protected by Avan’s magic circle.
Even when Hadlar breached it there was a huge tremor and how could anyone come in so easily. Mystic Bishop Zaboera shows up saying that he has used the Mystic Mage power to get inside. Bishop Zaboera reveals that he is the legion commander of the Mystic legion and one of the six legions of the Dark Lord. Dai and Popp are welcomed to Maam village and they enjoy wandering around.
Sometime later Zaboera teleports to Crocodine territory who is angry that he has been beaten by a child. Zaboera teasing Crocodine that he was smashed by a mere child and Crocodine ask how did he get to know that. Zaboera reveals that he knows everything and he has come to offer his aid. Crocodine notices that Zaboera wants to help him with dirty tactics to defeat Dai. Crocodine said that he doesn’t need the dirty help he wants to win fair and square.
Zaboera said Dai is powerful and if Crocodine fails there won’t be a seat left for him in the Dark Army. He also said that other legion commanders will say that Crocodine was a fool he couldn’t even kill a child. He gave Crocodine a box of spells and told him to use it to defeat Dai or he will lose his position.
