IPL Auction is the most dynamic event in the Indian Sports arena. As the bid goes higher, the fortune of budding talents to seasoned players changes like never before. Eight teams were bidding this time, and the grand event was organized is 19th December 2019.  All the franchises splurged a combined sum of Rs.140.30 crore.

Each team was allowed to spend 85 crores in this edition, along with an additional three crores from the last auction. Along with the sixty-two sold players, the crown for the most expensive overseas player goes to Pat Cummins (Australia), who bags Rs. 15.5 crore for getting selected for the Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR).

Auction always comes with its own surprises, and the 2020 Auction was no different. Piyush Chawla attracted all the attention as far as Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is concerned, as he wins Rs. 6.75 crore making him the most expensive Indian Player.

What is Vivo IPL 2020 Schedule Release Details?

Vivo IPL 2020 has been scheduled between 29th March 2020 and 24th May 2020. The opening match will be played between the defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Likewise, there will be a total of 62 matches to be played between eight teams in the group stage. Some of the early fixtures include KKR vs. SRH on 29/03/2020, MI vs. DC on 30/03/2020, RR vs. KXIP on 31/3/2020, and DC vs. CSK on 01/04/2020. The official schedule release is yet to be made, and we will keep you posted with the latest developments.

The Qualifier I will be held on 14th May 2020. This will be followed by Eliminator on 15th May 2020 and Qualifier II on 16th May 2020. The grand finale will be held on 24th May 2020. So, book your tickets now!
