Ayushmann Khurrana’s Article 15: Release Date, And Teaser
Touted to be based upon “shocking true events,” Article 15 is Ayushmann Khurrana’s latest stint in which he plays a cop. The movie is directed by Anubhav Sinha and dropped its teaser today, for those of you who don’t know, Article 15 is an Article enshrined in the Indian constitution. Ayushmann Khurrana’s upcoming film borrows its the title from the Article 15 of the Constitution, and it forbids discrimination by the State of any citizen based on their religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth. As you may have seen, the teaser begins with Ayushmann’s voice-over on Article 15 of the Indian Constitution. In the next shot, we see riots and the statue of the architect of the Indian Constitution, BR Ambedkar, some vehicles set on fire, and violent mob.
In Article 15, Khuranna will play a cop, working tirelessly to end discrimination in the country. The actor himself shared the teaser of the movie, captioned, “Farq bahut kar liya, ab farq layenge (discriminated we have enough, we’ll make a change).
Article 15 trailer will be out on May 30, and it is all set to release on June 28. The cast of Article 15 includes Isha Talwar, Manoj Pahwa, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra, M Nassar, Ashish Verma, Sushil Pandey, Subrajyoti Bharat and, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayub.
