The One Piece anime is going through quite a rough time lately, mainly because of the pacing issues. The main reason behind that is the anime being too close to the manga, and so, Toei is filling up the episodes with flashbacks to make sure the pacing doesn’t suffer in Wano.
In short, they’re sacrificing Reverie for Wano. So, since we’re still in Reverie, for now, the anime is likely going to struggle a bit. Despite all that, the next episode does look very interesting and we’ll be discussing the plot details for it in this post down below.

In the upcoming episode, we’ll be focusing mainly on the Revolutionary Army commanders, and the royalty that’s entering Maryjois. The Revolutionary Army wants to declare war on the people at Maryjoise, and so they need to sneak in somehow. For that reason, they have to take out a few men of the World Government.
At the same time, we’ll get to see different Kings and Queens, Prince and Princesses in the next episode as well. The likes of Neptune, Stelly, Fukaboshi, Shirahoshi, Vivi, Rebecca all come to mind.
One Piece’s next episode is going to be very interesting, and I hope that it is every bit as good as I expect it to be. One Piece Episode 883 airs on May 5, 2019. You can stream it on Funimation or Crunchyroll. You can also watch it on Fuji TV if you’re in Japan.
