Kpop girl group LOONA will be ceasing their comeback promotions. The other day, it was announced that all the group members have tested negative for COVID-19. It is a relief. However, their entertainment label released a statement to discuss their further plans. On June 28, LOONA made their comeback with a new mini-album, “&”. The girl group broke their record with the new album and single, “PTT (Paint The Town).” Just like the fans, the girls were excited to promote their latest music. However, now both Orbit (fandom name) and LOONA had to take a mini-break.
Unfortunately, on July 9, one of the staff members of LOONA tested positive for the virus. As a result, all the members of the group – HeeJin, Haseul, HyunJin, YeoJin, ViVi, Kim Lip, JinSoul, Choerry, Yves, Chuu, Go Won, and Olivia Hye- and employees also took a PCR test. Thankfully, no one else is affected by the virus.
LOONA’s Comeback Promotions Suspended
On July 10, Blockberry Creative released a statement to share the details on the group and their upcoming activities. The report shared that although they all have tested negative, all the members will be practicing self-quarantine. Also, the promotions for their fourth mini-album, “&,” will be suspended for some time. The girls began their quarantine life on July 10, 2021. This will be done to prevent the spread of the virus and protect BlockBerry Creative artists.
Further in the statement, the company explained that they would follow the laws of public health authorities. And they will decide later on when to begin the promotions. In the end, they apologized to the fans for the sudden news.
Fortunately, Orbits have been supportive of the company’s message. And we hope the group and the staff stay in perfect health. Until then, you can groove to the tracks of “&.” LOONA topped iTunes charts in several countries immediately after the release of their album. Watch the new music video down below:
