About three decades ago, Tom Cruise featured in Paramount’s iconic movies called Top Gun. Now, thirty years later the actor has jumped onboard to do Top Gun again, for the second time. Tom Cruise is all set to reprise his role of Pete “Maverick” Mitchell in the sequel for Top Gun. Back from the first movie will be “Iceman” (Val Kilmer). Others included in Top Gun 2 aka Top Gun: Maverick are Jennifer Connelly and Ed Harris and a bunch of younger actors.
Jon Hamm, who stars in Top Gun 2, recently sat in an interview with Collide, where he gave anon Top Gun 2 footage that he’s seen. Jon called it “mind-blowing.” He said that the footage he’s seen is something he’s incredibly impressed with and it’s out of this world. Ham further revealed that the technology this team is using is 6K. He called the aerial footage as mind-blowing and mostly practical. Jon Hamm boasted that there’s not a lot of CG in Top Gun 2.
Other details revealed by Jon Hamm that Top Gun is being shot on many of the same sets as the original 1986 movie. The second installment will use “a lot of the same costumes,” according to Jon. There’s also going to be a similar vibe to this movie, but the story will be taken to new places.
Director Joseph Kosinski was personally chosen by Tom to fill in the position. The newest cast members of Top Gun 2 are l Manny Jacinto, Glen Powell, Thomasin McKenzie, Charles Parnell, Jay Ellis, Bashir Salahuddin, Danny Ramirez, and Monica Barbaro.
Top Gun: Maverick is in theaters on June 26, 2020.

It was a big event, and it was evident that it will make the news, but with Tom Cruze being there, all the attendants were too excited.
