Subaru is taking a trial for Emilia since she is not healthy. Subaru asks why Beatrice is holding the same book the Witch Cultists had. Beatrice told him that she is not supposed to answer his questions. Subaru wants to know what is written inside the book. Beatrice said that nothing like that is inside the book and Subaru thinks that she is not supposed to do anything that’s not in the book.
Beatrice said that everything she does is in accordance with the Gospel’s guidance and that is her meaning of life. It is her purpose for her existence and Subaru asks if she saved him because the book told her to. Beatrice said that everything she does or says is written inside the book. She is doing everything for Mother and Subaru is just a human he can’t understand anything.
Subaru went toward Beatrice and she pushed him away telling him not to come closer. A villain lady that took away his friends appeared and stabs Subaru in his belly and fell unconscious. Subaru wakes up again inside the graveyard near Emilia who is lying down. Subaru notice that his restart point has changed for the third time in a row.
Subaru met with Garfiel and Bilma who told him that Frederica was born to a human mother and a mixed-blood father. That makes her enter the forest and leave the forest at will. Subaru later met with everyone he allows Emilia to rest and he promised her that he will talk with her tomorrow. Later Subaru thanks his friends for saving him and Suwen told him that Garfiel is always looking after him
