Jason Momoa’s Aquaman proved to be a mega hit last year and considering the success of the movie; a second installment is pretty much a sure shot. We all know that Aquaman 2 is a 100% sure thing but, theis what making fans anxious. When a movie performs insanely at the box-office, you would want the sequel to drop as soon as possible, however, in case of projects like these, time is the key, and they don’t want to rush things.
As far as DC’s movies go, Aquaman is the biggest hit in the belt and surpassed The Dark Knight Rises as well. According to reports, the movie earned a whopping amount of over $1.14 billion, so the team would want to drive all their focus on Aquaman 2 and take as much time needed to make the perfect masterpiece.
According to reports, Aquaman 2 will be released on 16th December 2022, which is at a huge gap and the reason has been explained by the producer, Peter Safran. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he revealed that they are taking this much time just to ensure that the sequel isn’t rushed.
Rushing the project isn’t the objective; instead, doing it correctly is what actually matters. It is also revealed that the spin-off horror movie, The Trench will be released prior to the actual sequel.
