Student Of The Year joins the league of yet another foolishly Karan Johar scripted movies. The trailer drop for Student happened a couple of hours ago, and it has drawn some mixed reactions on the internet. Starring Tiger Shroff, Tara Sutaria and Ananya Pandey in the lead roles, SOTY 2 is a successor to SOTY, the first. Student, the first came out in the year 2012, it launched Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra in lead roles. It became a moderate hit earning 70 crores. It was rumored that the original cast from Student 1 would do a cameo, turns out it’s not true.
So far the movie has scored 8 million views, most of them negative on YouTube. Audiences have a problem with the unrealistic depiction of school life in the movie. The school life is nothing short of a tale of ultra-glam lies made into a movie. Besides, we see two lead actors from the movie in Spiderman and Wonder Woman costumes, and it is just so bizarre.

The Hollywood megastar is reportedly doing a cameo in Student Of The Year 2; nothing has been confirmed yet by any official source though. Student of the Year is directed by Puneet Malhotra and produced by Karan Johar and distributed by Fox Star Studios, Student of the Year 2 will release on May 10.
