Songland is a songwriting competition that airs on NBC. The show began airing on May 28, 2019. The show is produced cooperation with several studios. These are— the Universal Television Alternative Studio, Dave Stewart Entertainment, Live Animals Productions, and 222 Productions. The show gives a chance to undiscovered songwriters to produce a hit. The contestants are chosen to work with producers and well-known recording artist to release a song.

Producers Ester Dean, Ryan Tedder, and McAnally will team up with songwriters to create a major hit which is to record by a guest performing artist. It is executive produced by Audrey Morrissey (Emmy Award winner) director Ivan Dudynsky, Eurythmics co-founder Dave Stewart, Chad Hines, and multi-Grammy-winning recording artist and Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine. Stewart, Dudynsky, and Morrissey came up with the concept for the show.

Air time:
The show currently airs on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT. This will continue until July 2. Then after a brief break, the series will come back on August 14 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, and it will continue airing weekly until September 11.
