The MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries is a first-person, simulator-style combat game which is set in the BattleTech universe and has been delayed once more. It was recently announced that this game would be launching on 10 December and it is going to be an Epic Games Store exclusive for a period of one year. The fans of the game are upset either the delay or the shift from. To get information on how to request a refund, you will have to go to Valve’s Steam market place where you will be directed to an FAQ document.

MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries will be a Epic Game Store Exclusive

In the beginning, it was first said to be released in 2018 but the Devs it in the month of December pushed it back to September 2019. Recently, the team at Piranha announced that they needed some additional month “to put considerable more quality into the game while also giving us the time needed to localize to other languages and to put considerable effort into marketing the game’s release.”

The deadline for requesting a refund is 1 September. Moreover, this isn’t the first time that a game to promise delivery via Steam and then pull the rug out from under waiting for customers. Most recent news about this news was from the dev team that is behind Shenmue 3 and they announced that it would also be an Epic Games Store exclusive. It was said by Tim Sweeney, Epic’s CEO that the company would issue refunds out of its own pockets for Kickstarter backers when they got angered because of the switch from Steam.

This shows us just how aggressive the Epic Games are and how they are going on a rampage to secure exclusives deals for their new store, which offers developers much higher margins on sales of their games when compared to Steam. And it won’t be an end to it there as who knows what next game the Epic Games will be going for.
