Batwoman Season 2 has been one of the most talked-about shows lately, especially after Ruby Rose’s exit, and now the showrunner shared a lot of key details, and yes, season 2 will acknowledge Kate’s sudden absence.

As we approach the end of this year, major updates regarding the plot are surfacing up, and the latest one surrounds the development of how season 2 will address Kate’s absence. As confirmed, Batwoman Season 2 will welcome a new hero donning the cape for the first time, however, the way the team will introduce her will be a crucial plot point that we can’t ignore.

Ruby Rose quit the show after season 1 premiered 20 episodes, and that marks the arrival of Javicia Leslie as Ryan, the new Batwoman in season 2. During the recently conducted DC FanDome event, Caroline Dries revealed that season 2 will explore Kate’s absence, and it will answer all the questions such as ‘Where is Kate? What happened to Kate? Is she alive? Is she dead? Is she missing? Is she on the run? Is she held captive? Is she lost?’ It will be the first area of the story of season 2 that will comprise two overall parts.
She further added that the imminent season would be full of intriguing ‘mysteries,’ ‘conspiracy theories,’ ‘differing opinions of the characters’ and the drama, tension will make season 2 ‘awesome, shocking, and amazing.’ Talking about the new lead, she spilled that Ryan would be messy, goofy, likable, and most importantly, a complete opposite to Kate Kane. Adding to her skillsets, Caroline clarifies that because of her undisciplined and highly skilled nature, she will be the most dangerous type of fighter.
Speaking of season 2, Caroline teased season 2 will finally show the community of Gotham that season 1 overlooked, and Ryan will have a mutual feeling towards all the people within it, and in order to help them, she will continue to fight against the system.

Batwoman Season 2 Scheduled for release in January 2021, and it will premiere on the CW Network in the US. In the UK, E4 will air the show. CW hasn’t revealed the exact update yet, however, we will keep you posted as soon as we get the official date.
