Spider-Man: Far From Home has achieved a milestone, which is that they have made $1 billion worldwide. This makes it the first Spider-Man movie to reach that level without adjusting for inflation. It was reported by THR that this second time that Sony has reached the billion-dollar mark, first was the 2012 James Bond film Skyfall. It is pretty rare accomplished which Sony shares with Disney and Warner Bros. which is all thanks to Aquaman’s success in the last December.
Spider-Man Far From Home Passes $1 Billion
This movie domestically made $333 million and $672 million overseas, which in total is $1.005 billion. This even tops the previous Spider-Man movie that was released, which was Homecoming, that earned a total of $880 million. There are two movies which have earned more then $1 billion this year were both Marvel films. The name of these movies is Avengers: Endgame which set a new box office record, and Captain Marvel.

One of the many main reasons behind its success was because of the boost from Endgame. This showed us a lot more about Spidey and how he was coping with the death of his mentor. Moreover, the plot serves as an epilogue to events from Endgame. This movie focus on Peter Parker’s journey to Europe, where he meets the apparent superhero Mysterio. Mysterio says he has crossed from another dimension in the multiverse.
This movie consists of many all-stars, and there are many familiar faces which in other Marvel movies such as Tom Holland, Samuel L. Jackson, Zendaya, Cobie Smulders, Jon Favreau, JB Smoove, Jacob Batalon, Martin Starr, with Marisa Tomei and Jake Gyllenhaal. Overall it was a great movie and was praised by the critics.
