Mg Hector as we all know is an amazing SUV which will be released in the Indian market in June of this year. This is the first car from the Morris Garages which is a Chinese owned British manufacturer.
Mg Hector will be competing against Tata Harrier, Jeep Compass, Mahindra XUV500, and the Tata Hexa. The Booking for this will begin in the mid-May and the launch and deliveries taking place in the first week of June. The price of this SUV is expected to start from Rs 15 lakhs to Rs 20 lakhs.
Mg Hector is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine and a 2.0-liter turbo diesel. Both engines will be sourced from Fiat. The Jeep Compass’ diesel motor will also be on the MG SUV. The top model is expected to be equipped with automatic transmission and AWD capability.
MG Hector will come with 7 speed automatic and a manual version too. Mr. Rajeev Chaba, the MG Motor India MD revealed recently that the SUV is a mid-sized C segment SUV. Moreover, the petrol will also get a six-speed manual as well as a six-speed DCT. Also, in addition, the petrol will be a 48V mild-hybrid system providing as much as 20Nm of additional torque.
