Kia Soul 2019: Price, Release Date, And Specifications
Kia Soul 2019 Specifications
Kai Soul is a Korean car designed SUV-style hatchback that has been a favorite of many people since back in 2009 when they revealed their first generation of car. Even though the car hasn’t been a top seller in the UK to date, but the demand for this is so much that they unveiled its third generation car. The most attractive thing about this is its design that takes the heart of the crowd, and also its boxy shape helps maximize interior space. It’s also has a model that comes with a variety of powertrains, including pure electric.
Even though the company revealed that it would have a petrol engine at the LA Motor Show, but Kai Souls that sold in the UK won’t be powered by any form of internal combustion. Instead of that, the new car will be an electric car that will be powered by an electric motor a 64kWh battery pack, with claimed outputs of 201bhp and 291 lb-ft of torque. The range is still yet to be verified but, the Soul uses the same powertrain as the Kia e-Niro electric SUV, we expect the Soul will have a similar range to that car’s claimed 301 miles per charge.
The highlighted tech for this car is most probably the electric powertrain, but it has more to offer. It has 10.25in touchscreen on the center console which Kia says the Soul’s telematics system allows drivers to see the car’s charging status and where the nearest charging spots are. As for safety is concerned, it will have a lot of safety equipment. For example, the buyers will have a lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, and autonomous emergency braking. But Kia didn’t say whether these will be available for standard fit or only offered as optional extras. The release date for the car is still unknown, but it will launch in the early next year, and it will arrive in the UK before the end of 2019. Price of this hasn’t been revealed but it should be £30,495.
