Younger Season 6: Release Date and Updates

Younger Season 6

In this post, we are going to talk about Younger season 6 release date, cast, and updates. The fifth season was released in June 2018, which concluded in August 2018. The previous season had 12 episodes as a usual Younger season. As we are aware, the previous season was more about Lisa and Charles, and it was already announced by Sutton Foster herself before the fifth season even premiered.

So, will we see another season of the show? Fortunately, the answer is yes, as the show was already renewed for the sixth season on 4 June 2018. Astonishingly, that was one day before the fifth season premiered. Later on, we got to know that the show is moving to Paramount Network from the sixth season. Thus, fans will have to switch from TV Land to Paramount to see the next season.

More importantly, when will the next season release? The release date is not yet confirmed by the officials. However, it has been announced that the show will be returning in 2019. But we can expect the show back in June 2019, because the previous two seasons were released in June. Also, the show has a consistent record when it comes to some episodes. Hence, we can expect the same number of episodes in the next season too, which is 12.

We have been seeing that Hillary Duff, who plays Kelsey Peters in the show, has been updating her social media with everything she does, and we have seen many posts from her on the set of Younger season 6. Which means, the show is under production and is shooting. The show is filming in New York City as it is based in New York! So, all we are waiting for is a confirmed release date of the next season.

Moving on to the cast, then we might see Sutton Foster (Liza Miller), Hilary Duff (Kelsey Peters), Miriam Shorr (Diana Trout), Debi Mazar (Maggie Amato), and Liza’s love interests Nico Tortorella (Josh) and Peter Hermann (Charles Brooks) returning for the next season. It is because there were no major character kill-offs, so all the central characters might be returning.

Updated on March 28, 2019:
Filming for the upcoming season of the show is close to ending now, or so we’ve been told. As mentioned earlier, the cast has constantly been updating their social media profiles with more stuff from the set, and that’s always great to see. It also gives us a bit of an update as the where the show is going.

Furthermore, spoiler suggests that there will be a dynamic shift in the relationship of Charles and Liza. We have seen quite a lot of then up until now, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. According to reports, whatever happens to them will be key to the future of the show, and we certainly cannot wait.

Updated on April 9, 2019:
The crew behind the show have dropped the first big twist here. A few months ago, almost everyone was reporting that the upcoming sixth season of Power is going to move to Paramount Network. The plans were announced by the team themselves, but they’ve now decided to change all that. Instead, Power Season 6 is likely going to continue airing on TV Land, as reported by Deadline.

We’re also told that the production has been going on for some time now, and it shouldn’t be long until it finishes. The show is expected to air at some point later this year.
