Pokemon is entering a new era with the release of a new game. 2 years ago, the CEO of the Pokemon Company announced that development of new games is underway and that they’ll be a start of something never seen before.
Just a month or two ago, we finally got our first look at what Pokemon has in store for the future, and it looks like it is going to to be the most prominent Pokemon project to date. Pokemon’s new line of the game is going to be called Pokemon: Sword and Shield. In this post, we’ll be talking about everything that we know related to this game. So, let’s get started!
Pokemon Sword And Shield Gameplay PhotoPokemon: Sword and Shield marks the start of a new era, the eighth generation of Pokemon in an entirely new region that is called Galar. The concept of the game is pretty much the same.
The player goes on an adventure across the region, encountering plenty of wild Pokemon, facing trainers, and collecting badges. That’s always been the premise of the game, and of course, that will never change. However, the gameplay has been completely redefined, and we can’t wait to get our hands on it.
The Galar region is identical to the real-world United Kingdom, and I think that’s pretty obvious once you look at the whole map. As with each region, there are three new starter Pokemon. We have a Grass-type named Grookey, a Fire-type named Scorbunny, and a Water-type named Sobble.
The game is scheduled for a 2019 Release, but we don’t know when exactly that will be. If I had to guess, I’d say it’ll be out in the second half of 2019, preferably around September.
