Samurai 8 Hachimaruden Chapter 1 debuted today, and I think it’s fair to say that Kishimoto is doing a great job with it so far, as is Akira Okubo. The whole premise of the manga feels like a breath of fresh air to me, and I think the fact that it is a bit different from what we’re used to seeing will help build its success. In this post, we’ll be discussing the next chapter of the manga, when it comes out, and everything else that we know about it so far.
Before we begin, please note this post may contain official spoilers from the previous chapters of the manga. If being spoiled is not for you, I suggest that you stop reading the post here. However, if spoilers don’t bother you, we can get started. Also, note that we did not create the spoilers or leaked them. They’re available all over the internet.
So, at the end of the first chapter, we got to see Hachimaru, Hayatarou, and Daruma all set for the journey that they have ahead of themselves. They’ve already gathered the first key and need to find six more to get to the Pandora’s box and save the universe and the stars. In the next chapter, I think Hachimaru will finally leave on his journey to a different planet because we were told that Samurai can move and live in space.
Kishimoto is going beyond all expectations here, and I’m excited to see what the next few chapters will result in. In my mind, we’ll see a female character introduced in the next chapter, or maybe the one after that. It’s either going to be the princess of the star where they are, or a different girl who will accompany Hachimaru on his journey.
Samurai 8 Chapter 2 will be out on May 20, 2019. The scans will be out by May 17, 2019.
