Funimation, along with its Japanese counterpart, is ready to bring fire to your screens. The anime we are talking about is the story of supernaturally powered firefighters. Hence the name Fire Force or Enen no Shouboutai which will soon be seen blasting its way to Japanese audiences, and with Funimation western audiences. Fire Force or Enen no Shouboutai is an upcoming hot series which is scheduled for Fifth of July 2019.

According to the synopsis, the story follows the year of 198 of the solar era in Tokyo. We will see an exceptional batch of fire brigades, which will be fighting against a phenomenon called spontaneous human combustion(SHC). A very sci-fi word which means humans beings suddenly transform into living infernos called “Infernals.” These Infernals are 1st generation of SHC, which would be followed by later generations of humans who would have the ability to manipulate flames while retaining human form.
Our story follows few such people like Shinra Kusakabe, a young boy who’s nickname is Devil’s Footprints due to his unique ability to ignite his feet at will, and he will join the Special Fire Force Company 8 which composes of other flames users as they work to extinguish any Infernals they encounter. Young Shira starts to unseal the truth following an unnatural fire that caused the death of his family twelve years ago.
