The fourth season of the show is its shortest till date. According to the trailer, the fourth season of Rick and Morty has five new episodes. The series will start to air on November 10, 2019.
The creators are well-aware that fans would be disappointed about the lack of new episodes. In the trailer, the announcer says: “half the season you deserve, all the season we could handle.”
In the third season of Rick and Morty, we saw that Rick was waging war against POTUS. He was summoned to the White House where he learned the truth about aliens. We also saw that Beth was facing some major family issues. Beth was also starting to become very frustrated with Rick’s dangerous lifestyle. This causes her to look back on her entire relationship with Jerry, realizing she enjoys the calm life they (usually) have.
