The Planet Of Apes – To Be Brought Back by Disney

According to reports filmmaker, Wes Ball will be bringing a new Planet of the Apes movie. Wes Ball is very popular for his Maze Runner film series. If we believe the reports, it would be one of the first well-known film franchises that belonged to 20th Century Fox that will be developed by Disney from what remains of the studio’s infrastructure.

Reports haven’t clarified if the movie will feature a completely new story or would be a continuation of the trilogy that began in 2012. The first part was known as Rising of the Planet of the Apes. Followed by the first movie, the second movie was released in 2017, named War for the Planet of the Apes.

Andy Serkis had starred in all the three movies and has performed well as Caesar. The two movies were directed by Matt Reeves. The new Planet of the Apes movie might be a continuation as the chances are high. The 2011’s movie portrayed astronauts landing on a planet dominated by apes. The new movie can be based on what happens next.

Director Ball was previously working on the graphic novel adaption Mouse Guard. When Disney bought 20th Century Fox, the project was canceled.
