Vikas Gupta has expressed his disappointment with Priyank Sharma and his alleged unprofessional behavior on Punchh Beat 1 and has asked to opt out of Punchh Beat 2. You may know Vikas Gupta from Khatron Ke Khiladi 9, and now he’s to be seen in Khatra Khatra Khatra.
Additionally, Vikas Gupta is also a producer. Vikas was last seen in Alt Balaji’s Puncch Beat that went on to become a hit. While fans may think, Vikas has plans to do Punchh Beat 2, but that’s not happening. And here’s why:
In a recent conversation with Ekta Kapoor, Vikas Gupta straight away refused to come back for a second season. The reason that audiences speculated was his tiff with Priyank Sharma and from what we hear, it seems to be true.
Vikas Gupta in an interview to Spotboye spoke about the difficulties he faced while making Puncch Beat. It was nearly a harrowing experience for him and that he wouldn’t want to do it again. He may likely change his mind after a gap period of 2-3 months but for now, he would want to stay away from the people who made his and his crew’s life miserable. He also said that it was difficult to work with Priyank as he has a knee injury which resulted in the shooting schedule to be pushed a few months back. There was some talk on Priyank’s anger issues and an incident in which Priyank broke his hand by punching it against a wall.
For those of you who don’t know, Punchh Beat was a web series launched by ALT Balaji on Valentines Week. The other one was ‘Kehne Ko Humsafar Hai,’ Season 2. It tells the story of high school kids, Rahat (Priyank Sharma), Ranbir (Siddharth Sharma), Divyanka (Harshita Gaur) and Padmini (Khushi Joshi).
For now, Season 2 of Punchh Beat hasn’t received an official update. But we’ll be sure to update you if it does.
