The series has been written by Matsuri Hino. The first premiere of the manga was in the LaLa magazine back in 2005. All the 19 volumes of the manga have been released by Viz Media. The manga has received an anime adaptation. The first season of Vampire Knight released on April 8, 2008, and it continued until July 1, 2008. The second season of the show was released later in October 2008, and it ran until December 30, 2008.
After the last episode of the second season, there was no information whether the show would be ending with the second season is or was there going to be a third season. Currently, there has been no news about the renewal of the show for a third season. Kiyoko Sayama has clearly stated that he would love to work on another season of Vampire Knight. He also said that he would ensure that the third season supplanted the previous two seasons.
Despite interest from the fans and Kiyoko, there has been no word from Studio Deen about the possible revival of the series. The fans can only just hope that one day, the show that they adore might return.
The story of the show has vampires belonging to different races. The story starts with Yuki’s earliest memories. She was attacked by a rogue vampire during a stormy night in the winter. Yuki was rescued by Kaname Kuran, who is a pureblood vampire. After all those years, Yuki grows up and becomes the protector of the vampire race. Yuki has a crush on Kaname since her childhood.
However, Yuki’s friend Zero loathes vampires as they took away everything that he held dear to his heart. He hates them with a passion. On the surface, it seems that peace is prevalent between humans and vampires, but is it really the case?
