Overlord Season 3 ended in 2019, and the impression that it left on the fans was lasting. Even now, people are frustrated over the future of Overlord anime being up in the air, and that just goes to show us how much the series is loved. The anime adaptation of Overlord Season 3 was great.
It wasn’t perfect, but it was still satisfying to watch, and just like you all, I want another season soon. But when exactly will we be getting Overlord Season 4? When will Overlord Season 4 Release Date?
Overlord Season 4 release date will be in December 2020, if not then, then it could possibly be released in January 2021. We doubt that it’ll happen before that, so we’ll just have to wait and see. As far as the story goes, I’m pretty sure that Season 4 will be even better than Season 3. The show has managed to surpass itself on countless occasions, and I hope it continues to do so in the future as well.
We’ve not got much information on the release of Overlord Season 4, but we do have a general idea of what’s happening behind the scenes. Aside from being understaffed, Overlord also has the problem of the novels being close to the anime. When season 3 finished, it ended at a point where the anime needs to wait to be able to continue even further.
Overlord Season 4 Spoilers
According to the events of the light novel, we will see Ainz faced with several new challenges that stand in his path. It’ll be something like we’ve never seen before, and so the next season could well be the most important season of the show so far.
Overlord Volume 14 Novel Release Date
We cannot move forward until another novel comes out, as they will need enough material to produce the content for the anime. Overlord Volume 14 was released on March 12, 2020.

Overlord Season 4 Update
So the big question is, will Overlord Season 4 return in 2020? The answer to this question is, yes, there is a huge possibility. Overlord Season 4 will likely take longer to produce because the story of the light novels doesn’t connect properly with Season 3 just yet. Once that is accomplished, we’ll see the production for Overlord Season 4 begin, and that will take quite some time because Madhouse wouldn’t want to rush anything. So, the question that remains now is, when will we see Overlord Season 4 return? Nothing can be for sure just yet.
