Technology giant Google is all set to eat; it’s competitors alive. Google recently revealed a new gaming platform yesterday. Yeah, you heard it right, a new gaming platform which doesn’t require any kind console and would complete relay of Google Cloud. Google’s Stadia would be soon the only cloud-based gaming service. Although you might have questions like, What is Stadia? What will be Google Stadia’s update? Would Stadia replace Xbox, PlayStation and Other Consols? So let’s break it out.
According to me a gamer and a tech geek with this upcoming service, Google is all set to replace Xbox’s and PlayStations. Microsoft and Sony must be pretty scared as this would be gaming market changer as gamers wouldn’t have to buy hundreds of dollars worth consols and still wouldn’t compromise with quality.
What Is Stadia?
Stadia is expressed as a platform for everyone. Ceo Pichai introduced Stadia stating it’s Google’s dreams to stream games to all types of devices. Stadia will stream games from Google’s Cloud (Datacenters )to any google device like Pixel device, Chrome Browsers, Chromebooks, and ChromeCast. Stadia will provide instant access to play, without the need to download or install any games manually on your machine. Basically, you can assume Stadia as Netflix of Gaming Industry where one can play any game whenever they want with just a CLICK.
Google currently is teaming up with world-famous graphics card manufacturing company AMD to make a precise GPU for its data center. The upcoming graphic-card is proclaimed to deliver 10.7 teraflops of power. Which means it can perform 10.7 trillion operations per second which is way faster than any compared GPUs. As to the PS4 Pro GPU performs 4.2 teraflops and the Xbox One X gives 6.0 teraflops of power. A custom-made 2.7GHz x86 CPU will support this custom GPU alongside 16GB of Ram.
Beta tests for Stadia held in last October demonstrated that Stadia could pull amazing quality gaming in a limited capacity, running Assassin’s Creed Odyssey super-smoothly for beta testers. Although one must have a good and reliable internet connection as recreating that occurrence worldwide, and with a whole bunch of games with an ever-expanding roster of them, will require time and many new partnerships.
Coming to last and a significant point, Stadiais set to be somewhere in late 2019, although no fixed date is be declared yet. The only countries where Stadia would be available later in 2019 would be USA, UK, Canda, and Europe because honestly, you need an excellent internet connection for this.
