The series has everything needed in a detective drama; It is psychological, thrilling, chilling, and entertaining. The most important thing for the film or series set in the past i.e. in some decades before the present time is, of course, the setting. This detective thriller is based on the book series by Tony Hillerman called, “Leaphorn & Chee.” The series is set in the early 1970s and have done justice to the novels. The first season of the series is created by Graham Roland and is majorly based on the novels, “Listening Woman” and “People of Darkness.” The storyline revolves around two Navajo police officers, Jim Chee and Joe Leaphorn who try to solve the crime.

Meet The Star Cast Of Dark Winds
Zahn McClarnon is portraying one of the two lead roles as Joe Leaphorn. He is the claimed American actor who has given many power pact performances in his careers such as Longmire, Fargo’s second season, and Westworld’s second season. The actor has also appeared in Hawkeye, the series from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), a universe of which each cinema fan is aware. In 2017, the actor was shooting Westworld but unfortunately, he fell and got a brain injury and as a result, the production team has to shut down the filming for some time.
One of the other protagonists is Kiowa Gordon who is portraying the role of Jim Chee. He is a recognized name in the American industry. The actor is of Hualapai descent and is widely known for his role as a shapeshifter in “The Twilight Saga.”
