The popular multiplayer FPS shooter game from Bungie, Destiny 2, has its hands full at the moments with its upcoming expansion, and fans can’t wait to see what it has in store for them. As you all know, Destiny 2: Beyond Light was postponed, and with each passing day, more exciting updates are surfacing up.
Keeping everything in mind, we have coiled all the latest developments and information that is out there on the internet, so here is everything you musk know about Destiny 2: Beyond Light.
Destiny 2: Beyond Light Story:
According to the latest updates, the newest expansion pack will be essential for the game, and along with it, the developers will introduce a new story as well. The expansion will begin the new ‘era of Darkness,’ and we cant wait to see how that’s going to be. A teaser trailer for it was released earlier, and according to it, the ancient Pyramid ship hovering over the frozen frontier of Europa gave birth to a new power.
Apart from that, a new ‘dark empire’ united under ‘Fallen Kell of Darkness’ is coming forward, which is not a very good sign. The expansion will allow you to ‘join your fellow Guardians and bring down the empire at any cost — even if it means wielding the Darkness itself.’
You can watch the trailer below to get an idea about the imminent expansion.
Destiny 2: Beyond Light Gameplay and Map
As for the gameplay is concerned, the core gameplay of Destiny 2 is prevalent, and players will use the power ‘Light’ (a special weapon giving superhuman abilities) to fight in different modes of the game. The trailer showcased a new type of darkness driven damage, and there will be more to come if Luke Smith is to be believed. Apart from that, the upcoming seasons will finally remove Destiny 2’s FOMO (fear of missing out). According to some rumors, Bungie plans to shelve the least popular modes, and developers will work on them to make it better.
Players will mostly spend their time in the Europa map, and from the official pictures, it does seem pretty huge. So, there is a room for exploration, if you’re interested.
From the picture provided by Bungie, Europa consists of five major regions. The regions are are ‘Eventide Ruins,’ ‘Asterion Abyss,’ ‘Cadmus Ridge,’ Charon’s Crossing,’ and ‘Beyond.’ Apart from that, the map does have a lot of secret places, factories with its secrets, so we need to wait to have a better idea of Europa.
Then there is the mysterious barren clearing on the icy moon, which Bungie describes as ‘the ruins of a once-bustling cityscape tell a tale of ambition and loss.’ Somewhere deep beneath the ice lies several secrets, including the ‘lost Golden Age technology’ awaiting discovery.
